83-year-old woman gifts 1000 origami cranes to SS Rajamouli to express her love for 'RRR' in Japan: 'I wanna dance with RRR every day'

SS Rajamouli has been touched by an unforgettable gesture from an 83-year-old woman from Japan, who gifted him 1000 origami cranes and a fan note ahead of the screening of ‘RRR’ in the country.

On March 18, Rajamouli took to his Twitter account and shared a heartwarming note about a recent incident that made him feel blessed.

Due to the COVID-19 breakout, the team of ‘RRR’ could not conduct their meet-and-greet session in Japan in 2022. Now, the legendary director has reached Japan for a screening and an interactive session with fans. Rajamouli shared a picture with an elderly woman who gifted him 1000 origami cranes as a token of love for making ‘RRR’ and was waiting outside in the cold weather to meet the director.

While sharing the pictures, Rajamouli wrote, “In Japan, they make origami cranes and gift them to their loved ones for good luck and health. This 83-year-old woman made 1000 of them to bless us because ‘RRR’ made her happy. She just sent the gift and was waiting outside in the cold. Some gestures can never be repaid. Just grateful����.”



The lady can be seen wearing an ‘RRR’ black t-shirt and a wine-colored jacket. Rajamouli received the rainbow-themed origami cranes with a warm hug and smile. The lady clipped a note on the gift bag which featured herself with Jr NTR and Ram Charan grooving to the iconic ‘Naatu Naatu’ step from the film. She wrote, “I'm 83 years old and I wanna dance with RRR every day. I made it one by one, 'Rajamouli Garu welcome to Japan”.

‘RRR’ is the story of freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris played significant roles in this film.
