The 68th National Film Awards were announced on Friday evening in New Delhi, with the honours for films from the year of 2020. The event is organised by the Directorate of Film Festivals, which comes under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The award conducted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, honours the best of the talents from across various film industries in the country including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Marathi among others.

Sandeep Raj’s period romantic drama 'Colour Photo' was adjudged the Best Feature Film while S Thaman won the Best Music Director in Feature Film category for 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo'.
Sandhya Raju won the Best Choreographer for the feature film 'Natyam'. T V Rambabu won the Best Makeup Artist Award for his work in the same film.
Upon its release, 'Colour Photo' has been unanimous praise for Suhas and the background score and music of the film, composed by Kaala Bhairava. Writing and the direction of Sandeep Raj were also praised by the audience.
The winners were announced at a press conference at the National Media Centre, New Delhi. There were 290 films in the feature film category and 150 films in the non-feature film category. In the most film-friendly states category, there were entries from 13 states.
The awards were headed by Vipul Shah, the chairman of the central panel and the press conference was attended by various jury members like Chitrartha Singh, Chairman of Non Feature Jury, Anant Vijay, Chairman of Best Writing of Cinema and Priyadarshan, Chairman of Most Film Friendly State.
