2-Day Trial Shoot for SS Rajamouli’s RRR? Deets Inside!

The state governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have recently granted permission for the resumption of film and TV shootings. The shoots should be done with limited staff by following all the recommended guidelines and precautions issued by the government from time to time. If the on-going reports are anything to go by, SS Rajamouli & Co is gearing up for a 2-day trial shoot for their most-anticipated project RRR (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram).
Grapevine suggests that the two-day shoot will take place in the gigantic sets erected by Sabu Cyril near Gandipet or at the Aluminium Factory located on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Instead of the main actors, the trial shoot will reportedly be conducted with dupes to gauge the working conditions with limited staff members and under COVID-19 guidelines. PPE kits, thermometers, hand sanitizers and other safety equipment are expected to be installed in the sets.
Though there is no official confirmation from the team, sources claim that this trial shoot is conducted by Rajamouli to understand the workflow in the shooting sets with a limited crew of 50 members.
Set against the pre-independence era of the 1920s, RRR is a fictitious story based on two legendary freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. While Ram Charan is playing the younger version of the former, Junior NTR will be seen as the latter. Besides Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Samuthirakani, the period actioner features several foreign actors like Olivia Morris, Alison Doody and Ray Stevenson in pivotal roles. The massive multi-starrer is scheduled for a massive release on January 8, 2021.
