Speaking about the project, Krish mentioned that Kangana will only do her part in acting and is or will not be involved in direction.
Earlier, Kangana and Krish launched the poster at Jhansi, which won several accolades and stirred up a bit of controversy. The actress was quoted saying to a leading news paper, "I feel that Rani of Jhansi is very relatable for women like us. Life without respect was equivalent to death for her. I think that is something I completely identified with."
Meanwhile, the director has planned elaborate schedules to be shot at Jhansi of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Varanasi. Huge sets were also being set-up in Ramoji Film City for the same.
Finally, it seems like all things are in place for 'Manikarnika' to go on floors. Shankar Ehsaan Loy will score music for this film.
The movie is aimed for theatrical release on April 27, 2018.
