Vishwananth's
Aadi Saikumar and
Shraddha Srinath starrer 'Jodi' with Phani Kalyan's music released today.
Kapil (Aadi Saikumar) is a system admin who detests his father (Naresh) because he keeps betting all their money on cricket. He loves cricket betting so much he even names his son after his favourite cricketer Kapil Dev. Kapil happens to come across a French teacher named Kanchana Mala (Shraddha Srinath) and he falls for her immediately.
She is an old-school woman whose lifestyle makes him fall for her. He keeps pursuing her and meets her by happenstance. But even after she realises that he has been actively pursuing her she seems to not mind.
Satya plays the role of Kapil's colleague while
Vennela Kishore breezes in and out of his role. Aadi Saikumar does a good enough job but Shraddha Srinath, who was stunning in Jersey, has not gotten much scope to perform so far. There's also a random man called Avinash who keeps coming in and out of the story just to move it forward. The first half and the story too are plain okay. What is impressive however is Phani Kalyan's music. Also refreshing is the adorable way in which their cliché but cute love story progresses.
However it remains to be seen if all the random information provided in the first half of 'Jodi' amount to anything in the second half.
