‘Duvvada Jagannadham’: A new high for Allu Arjun

In yet another indication of stylish star Allu Arjun’s growing power at the box-office, his latest release ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’ has set the ticket-window on fire by registering the highest over openings in his career. Day 1 witnessed revenues of around Rs 24 crore (gross) for the film in the Telugu States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and a total of Rs 33.9 crore(gross) worldwide. ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’ also has the distinction of having the 10th biggest opening for any film in South India ever. And another huge positive for the film is the absence of any competition in the form of other big films barring Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ which has not gone down well with audiences. This means that Duvvada Jagannadham will easily emerge as the biggest hit in the career of Allu Arjun breaking many more records along the way.
