The shooting for director
Maruthi’s upcoming project with
Naga Chaitanya and
Anu Emmanuel in the lead began today in Hyderabad.
After ‘
Mahanubhavudu
’ with
Sharwanand and
Mehreen Pirzada, this is director Maruthi’s next venture and is yet to be titled. The film also features
Ramya Krishnan, Vennela Kishore, Kalyani Natarajan, Sharanya, Prudhvi, Raghubabu and Rahul Ramakrishna in key roles. The film will feature music by Gopi Sunder and will have Nizar Shafi’s cinematography.
Previously, Anu Emmanuel had announced the project on her social media with pictures from the pooja ceremony. She had captioned them, “Happy to start my next in Telugu.” (sic) After the lukewarm response Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Yuddham Sharanam’ and Anu Emmanuel’s ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ received, high hopes are pinned on this project.
Sources from the film’s production unit had previously revealed that true to Maruthi’s style of films, this film will also have a lot of comedic moments, peppered with some emotional drama. The makers are said to be confident that the film will be a huge success as it will appeal to audience of all age groups.
Naga Chaitanya is also busy with the shoot of ‘
Savyasachi
’ under the director of
Chandoo Mondeti and co-starring
R Madhavan
