Shweta Basu Prasad, who won recognition for her performance in films like Iqbal and Kotha Bangaru Lokam, is all set to turn director for a documentary. Titled Roots, the documentary questions the visibility of India's traditional Hindustani classical music among the Indian youth. The documentary film, which is currently in the editing process, will be screened at several schools and colleges soon.
The informative documentary also features insightful thoughts from some of the India's eminent artistes like AR Rahman, Dr L Subramanyam, Gulzar, Shuba Mudgal, Pandit Jasraj and Vishal Bharadwaj among others.
