Ravi Teja was not the first choice for Idiot

It's an interesting story, how Ravi Teja transformed into the venerable "Mass Maharaja" of Tollywood. It all began with director Puri Jagannath’s Idiot. Funnily enough the director had written the role for Pawan Kalyan. As it turned out, Pawan Kalyan refused the film and director Puri Jagannath approached Ravi Teja with the role. The rest as they say is history. Pawan Kalyan’s loss turned out to be Ravi Teja’s gain.
