have teamed up again to recreate their magic for a cop thriller ‘
Officer
’.
The motion poster and name of the film were revealed few days ago in midst of all the negativity surrounding Sridevi’s death. Ram Gopal Varma, who was supposed to release the title of the film on the day she passed away, had postponed the release. Later, he released the first look saying, “After all the negativity around
Sridevi,I am truly wanting some positivity and releasing the title,first look poster and release date of my most ambitious film with @iamnagarjuna#NAGRGV4 is now #OFFICER” (sic)
Recently there was buzz that ‘Officer’ is inspired from the famous film ‘Taken’, however the rumour seems to have died out on its own. The film sees Nagarjuna and
RGV
team up after decades, with their last film together being ‘Govinda Govinda’ with Sridevi. Myra Sareen will be playing the female lead in the film that will see Nagarjuna play the titular officer. The film is slated for release on May 25 worldwide. The climax of the film is being shot in Mumbai and RGV posted a
video
today with the caption, “Crowd gone berserk to catch a glimpse of Akkineni Nagarjuna Very few Telugus have such kinda craze in #Mumbai” (sic) He also posted a picture in which a large number of people can be seen swarming a building where the shoot is taking place.
Looks like everyone, irrespective of the region they stay in, are excited for the release of RGV and Nagarjuna’s ‘Officer’.
