Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently basking in the success of his latest film 'Waltair Veerayya', directed by Bobby Kolli. The action comedy entertainer which has Shruti Haasan as the leading lady, did not just make great strides in the Telugu-speaking states but also did impressive business in the overseas market, especially in the United States of America.
Mythri Movie Makers, the makers of 'Waltair Veerayya' announced that the film’s box office collection crossed a jaw-dropping two million dollars in the US, marking the actor’s third film to achieve this rare feat. A couple of other Chiru’s films on the list are 'Khaidi No 150' and 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.'
Sharing the news, they wrote, ''Pure domination of Veerayya at USA Box Office. MEGA MASS BLOCKBUSTER #WaltairVeerayya enters the elite $ 2M club.''
Meanwhile, after opening in cinema halls on January 13, 'Waltair Veerayya' has reportedly minted over Rs 100 crores at the worldwide box office in four days. Starring Shruti Haasan as the female lead, the film also has Catherine Tresa, Rajendra Prasad, Prakash Raj and Bobby Simha in pivotal roles. Devi Sri Prasad's music is a major plus for the film, which was produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Kona Venkat has handled the screenplay. The technical crew of this film comprises Arthur A. Wilson for cinematography, Niranjan Devaramane for editing, and AS Prakash for art.
