Ungarala Rambabu Box Office collections: Sunil and Miya George starrer suffers due to an online leak?

‘Ungarala Rambabu’ is a comedy entertainer written and directed by Kranthi Madhav that released on September 15, 2017. Prakash Raj, Posani Krishna Murali, Ali and Vennala Kishore play key roles in the film. While the movie received mixed word-of-mouth publicity and had an average occupancy level on the opening day.
But now, reports state that the movie is running only on 15% occupancy.From the day of release, the movie has managed to collect Rs 3.64 Cr worldwide in the first two days. Even overseas, the movie hasn’t managed to rake in much money. Reports state that the movie collected only $261 on Thursday, $149 on Friday and $100 on Saturday.
An online leak of the film is stated to be one of the reasons for the film’s failure at the box office. Sunil had taken great pains with promotions before the film’s release, promoting it even on Bigg Boss Telugu. While the makers had reportedly taken measures to ensure the movie doesn’t leak, a Tamilian gang notorious for their leaks leaked the whole movie online. They even offered six different versions of the film ranging from 200 MB to 2.4 GB.
The full movie was made available for download just a day after it hit the screens, with hundreds of seeders downloading the film. While the uploaded movie is only of DVDScr/screen quality, it is still expected to have affected the film’s business.
