'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' box office collection day 4: Nani's film completes first weekend with strong numbers, makes Rs 9.25 crore on first Sunday

Nani’s latest film, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram', is earning widespread praise for its gripping storyline and powerful performances making a stellar run at the box office. Directed by Vivek Athreya, this action-packed drama has captivated audiences with its intense plot and standout performances, particularly the riveting clash between Nani and SJ Suryah. The adrenaline-pumping thriller released on August 29th has successfully completed its first weekend at the box office.

In its first weekend at the box office, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' has shown impressive numbers. According to trade analyst Sacnilk, the film made Rs 9.25 crore on its fourth day, bringing its total to Rs 33.25 crore in India. The movie had a strong start, earning Rs 9 crore on its opening day, followed by Rs 5.85 crore on Friday, Rs 9.15 crore on Saturday, and a strong Rs 9.25 crore on Sunday. The film also saw a high occupancy rate in Telugu cinemas, with 57.38% of seats filled on Sunday, September 1, 2024. Afternoon and evening shows, in particular, had the highest turnout.

Similarly, the movie has been a success outside India. Recently, the makers announced that 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' has crossed the $1.6 million mark at the North American box office.

The storyline of 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' centers on Nani’s character, Surya, a man who channels his anger every Saturday into becoming a vigilante. Surya’s unique form of justice brings him into conflict with a corrupt police inspector, R. Dayanand, played by SJ Suryah.

The film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Sai Kumar, Ajay Ghosh, Aditi Balan, and Harshavardhan, with music composed by Jakes Bejoy. 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' marks Nani’s second collaboration with director Vivek Athreya.

Released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi under the alternate title 'Surya’s Saturdays'.
