Pawan Kalyan’s ‘They Call Him OG’ crosses USD 5 million mark in North America

Pawan Kalyan has hit the North American box office with a firestorm where it minted USD 3.13 million with just its premiere day collection of his latest film They Call Him OG. And at the end of 5 days the film has crossed the USD 5 million mark in the circuit, it has already become the 4th highest grosser of the year beating Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 which folded up its entire theatrical run in North America at USD 4.33 million mark collection. And the film has also crossed the final collection of Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT which had collected USD 4.37 million. The film’s release in the circuit has been under jeopardy as the makers in India were not able to send the footage on time, at last minute the distributors had to take help some Pawan Kalyan’s fans to make deliver of hard drives so that premiere shows can take place on time.


They Call Him OG after minting USD 3.13 million from its premiere day, its day 1 collection was USD 510K, day 2 stood at USD 534K, Day 3 was USD 515K, day 4 was USD 245K and day 5 till early evening it was had crossed USD 70K, taking the overall collection of the film to USD 5.04 million.



The success of the film goes a long way in strengthening Pawan Kalyan’s hold in the industry as his last film Hari Hara Veer Mallu had closed it’s theatrical run in North American circuit with just a little over one million collection. In India as well the film has been doing great business where at the end of 5 days the film has collected Rs 148.75 crore and has gone past Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise’s numbers which collected Rs 136.38 crore in Telugu.


They Call HIM OG directed by Sujeeth also marked the Telugu debut of Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi. And going by the film’s climax the team would be reuniting for the second part as well.
