Naveen Polishetty's 'Anaganaga Oka Raju' hits USD 1 million in North Ameirca
Naveen Polishetty's romantic comedy, 'Anaganaga Oka Raju', is taking the box office by storm, amassing over USD 1 million in North America just four days post its January 14 debut. This phenomenal success not only underscores Polishetty's rising international fandom but also marks a triumphant moment for Telugu cinema, with the film raking in an impressive Rs 27.
Naveen Polishetty's latest entertainer Anaganaga Oka Raju, co-starring Meenakshi Chaudhary, is emerging as one of the early 2026 success stories at the North America box office. Released on January 14, the romantic comedy has already crossed the USD 1 million milestone in North America within just 4 days, a feat that once again underscores Polishetty’s growing popularity among overseas Telugu audiences.Anaganaga Oka Raju centres on Raju (Naveen), a sharp, street-smart youngster from a small village who believes that quick thinking and clever shortcuts can help him stay ahead in life. The North America numbers have been steady and impressive, until Friday, the film had amassed USD 842K in the circuit. On Saturday, it added a strong USD 244K, taking its cumulative total to USD 1.086M, thereby pushing it into the coveted million-dollar club well before the conclusion of the extended festive weekend. This performance places the film among the top-performing Telugu releases of the Sankranti frame overseas, particularly notable given the stiff competition and clutter during the holiday corridor with films like The Raja Saab and Mana Shankar Varaprasad Garu. The momentum isn’t limited to overseas markets either. In India, Anaganaga Oka Raju is holding strong across centers, benefiting from festive footfalls, positive audience chatter, and Naveen’s brand of comedy-driven entertainment. The film has collected Rs 27.55 crore net in its first four days, aided by remarkably stable day-to-day trending. The film on its first day collected Rs 6.15 crore , on day 2 it witnessed an over 20 % jump to collect Rs 7.40 crore since then the film has been steady with Rs 7 crore collection on Friday and Saturday. If the film maintains this momentum into Sunday and Monday, it could emerge as a good and confident start for Telugu cinema .
