After an impressive start at the box office, Nani’s HIT: The Third Case witnessed a steep decline in collections in its second week. The film, which opened with a strong Rs 21 crore on its first day, went on to earn Rs 63.65 crore in its first week across all languages. However, the numbers dipped by over 80% in its second week, managing to collect only around Rs 11.96 crore in the following seven days, bringing its 15-day total to Rs 75.61 crore.
The sharp drop isn’t entirely surprising given the pattern seen with mid-sized Telugu thrillers in recent years — strong openings driven by star power and genre appeal, followed by steady declines post the opening weekend.Same was the case with HIT: The Second Case with Adivi Sesh- the film opened to Rs 21 .14 crore collection in first week and dropped to just Rs 3.73 crore in second week. While the HIT had made just Rs 6.6 crore in the first week.
Despite this, HIT: The Third Case has emerged as the second biggest hit of Nani’s career, after his blockbuster Dasara and the biggest hit of the series. The film’s gripping narrative and Nani’s intense performance received praise, but mixed reviews and stiff competition from other releases contributed to its second-week fall.
Interestingly, as HIT wraps up its box office run, Nani’s next big project, Paradise, is already creating buzz. The film, directed by Dasara filmmaker Srikanth Odela, reunites the successful actor-director duo, and expectations are naturally high. What’s added to the anticipation is the music — composed by the sensational Anirudh Ravichander. Industry sources suggest that the music rights of Paradise have already been picked up for a staggering Rs 18 crore, a record figure for a Nani film and a testament to Anirudh’s market pull.
If these reports hold true, Paradise is shaping up to be one of the most awaited Telugu films in the coming months. With Anirudh’s music, Odela’s rustic storytelling, and Nani’s star appeal, the film is poised to generate significant hype, both in the Telugu states and beyond.
