The fantasy adventure action flick 'Mirai' starring Teja Sajja is enjoying a fabulous run at the box office. The film has been collecting good numbers, but on its first Tuesday, being a weekday it registered its lowest tally so far. On the fifth day, the movie collected Rs 5.75 crore as per early estimates.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie has earned over Rs 56.75 crore at the box office after Tuesday’s collections. On its opening day, Mirai collected Rs 13 crore, followed by Rs 15 crore on Saturday and Rs 16.6 crore on Sunday. However, once the weekend ended, the numbers dropped, with the film earning Rs 6.4 crore on Monday and Rs 5.75 crore on Tuesday.
Theatre occupancy
The original Telugu version had a decent occupancy rate, as the overall occupancy on Tuesday was 27.79 percent. The morning shows had the lowest rate at 18.24 percent. They further went on to gradually increase to 26.03 percent in the afternoon shows and later to 29.98 percent in the evening shows. It concluded its day with 36.91 percent in the night shows.
The Hindi version of the film had an overall occupancy of 24.97 percent. The film only had 9.67 percent in the morning shows, then increased to 20.87% in the afternoon shows. It further increased to 24.46 percent in the evening shows. The film notably had a solid increase to 44.86 percent in the night, making it its highest throughout the entire day.
About 'Mirai'
The film directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, revolves around Teja Sajja's character as Super Yodha who is destined to secure the nine sacred scriptures from the dark force. The villainous sorcerer portrayed by Manchu Manoj as black sword wants to get a hold of that divine power to capture the world.
The movie also stars Shriya Saran, Ritika Nayak, Tanja Keller and Jagapathi Babu. 'Mirai' is expected to mint more numbers in the coming days.
