'Mahavatar Narsimha' box office collection Day 30: Mythological animated drama crosses Rs 220 crore mark

The mythological animated drama 'Mahavatar Narsimha' continues to hold its ground at the box office even in its fifth week. On Day 30, the Ashwin Kumar directorial witnessed a strong weekend jump, collecting an impressive Rs 4.75 crore.According to trade analyst Sacnilk, the film had already pulled in Rs 30.4 crore during Week 4, while Days 29 and 30 added Rs 1.85 crore and Rs 4.75 crore, respectively. The film's total domestic collection has now reached a commendable Rs 225.35 crore.

Theatre occupancy

In terms of occupancy, 'Mahavatar Narsimha' maintained a decent performance in the Hindi belt on its 30th day. The 2D version recorded an overall 18.94% occupancy on Saturday, August 23, 2025. The morning shows started slowly at 9.24%, but the momentum picked up in the afternoon at 17.98%. By evening, occupancy rose to 22.97%, peaking at 25.57% during night shows.The 3D version, on the other hand, fared even better with an overall occupancy of 24.55% on the same day. Morning shows began with 11.86%, gaining solid traction in the afternoon at 26.51%. The upward trend continued with evening shows recording 29.40%, while night shows settled at 30.43%.
The film also showed remarkable stability in Telugu-speaking regions. The 2D version registered an overall 33.83% occupancy on Saturday. Morning shows were relatively modest at 15.74%, but the afternoon jump to 34.25% and the evening surge at 43.46% highlighted the audience’s enthusiasm. Night shows maintained the momentum with 41.85% occupancy, making Telugu markets one of the film's strongest contributors.
