Kollywood star Karthi’s recently released Tamil action movie, ‘Theeran Adhigaram Ondru’ has received a good response at the box office. The movie was released in Telugu with the title ‘Khakee’ and has evoked good response since its release last week.
According to trade experts, it has collected a gross Rs 10.35 crore in the first weekend itself. Reportedly, the film is doing well in both Telugu states and also in Tamil Nadu.
Karthi plays an idealist dare-devil cop in the movie which is said to be based on real incidents happened between 1995 and 2005.

The film narrates his battles with a gang of 17 dacoits looting and killing people in a violent manner. It’s main highlights are a tight screenplay that relies on brain more than brawn, and a well-researched theme.
Rakul Preet, who played the character of Karthi’s wife has received laurels for her subtle performance. The film has received appreciation for his realism and action scenes.
