Khaidi No 150 box office collections day 2: Megastar's film remains steady with housefull collections

Living up to his image, the megastar's comeback flick 'Khaidi No 150', a remake of Tamil super hit 'Kaththi' made a killing at the box office in Telugu states as well as overseas market on the first day by minting about Rs 30 crore. The movie has beat the opening figures and stood ahead of highest grossers like grossers including 'Baahubali', 'Sardar Gaabar Singh', 'Srimanthudu' and the others. On the second day, the film failed to continue the magic and has looked a bit down at the box office. On the release day, hype around the movie produced by Ram Charan and Surekha on Konidela Production Company helped enormous openings but with another big ticket movie releasing the next day, the movie has only raked upto Rs 18 crore as on the second day. Meanwhile, we hear, Allu Aravind, producer, was quoted saying in an interview that the film has grossed over Rs 47 core all put together and the numbers are an example of how badly fans awaited Chiranjeevi's comeback. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh too took toTwitter and wrote, "Midweek release [Tue]... #Chiranjeevi on the big screen after a hiatus... #KhaidiNo150 conquers USA BO with an ELECTRIFYING start... Bravo! (sic)." Owing to the holiday season that combined with the weekend, the movie is running with house-full shows across muliplexes and single cinema screens.The megastar's comeback created enough stir with a subject centred around the plight of farmers and V V Vinayak's direction has only upped the anticipations of fans and trade analysts. However, the movie is running with steady collections amidst fan fare.
