’ received a good welcome neither at the
box office
in India, nor in US.
The pre-release business was great for the film in India, and it was expected that the opening would be too. The trailer of the movie is said to have done a good job in attracting the audience to the film and the movie has received good reviews and ratings from critics on the first day.
But, on the whole, the movie is expected to have collected Rs 3.5 crore worldwide on the first day and only above Rs 6 lakh on the first day of its premier in US. The opening was expected to collect at least $50k when it managed to collect only $10k.
The budget of the movie was Rs 26 crore, and the film has already recovered Rs 5 crore from its non-theatrical rights. The movie has made Rs 6 crore in the first weekend and Rs 2 crore on the fourth and fifth day of its release.
