Bhumika calls 'U Turn' a special experience

With a handful of impressive films in her bag as she approaches her second innings as an actress, Bhumika appears confident and relaxed ahead of her much-awaited Tamil-Telugu bilingual U Turn, that releases this Thursday. Although the actress prefers not to reveal much about her role owing to the suspense element in the project, Bhumika confesses to have enjoyed working with an asssured director like Pawan Kumar. "I have watched the original prior to the shoot. Once on set,I prefer to be a director's actor. There are minor changes to my role in comparison with the original. I had a good time working on sets with Samantha, a talent hub who lets her eyes do the talking and handle the intensity."


Thrillers are a genre that have given an impetus to her career, be it her solid roles in Anasuya or Amaravati. "I always like the thriller elements in a story, however a horror twist genuinely scares me," the actress hints a thing or two about U Turn. The film also marks her return to

Tamil cinema

after a certain gap, barring the delayed release Kalavaadiya Pozhuthugal opposite Prabhudeva. "There are more projects in the pipeline. I am particular about choosing films that are worth my time. I like the time I spend with my child too and we hardly discuss films at home." Post U Turn, Bhumika awaits the release of Savyasachi, where she plays an extended special appearance alongside Madhavan.
