is back this year with a series of plays in the coming week. The fest, which was started in 1965, could not be organised in the last two years due to the pandemic. This year, it will feature five plays by five different theatre groups, and will include English plays as well. “This is a step to reach audiences, far and wide, and encourage theatre as an art form to continue and thrive. The festival this year features three English plays and two Tamil plays, with themes ranging from comedy and sentiment to thrillers,” says Saashwathi Prabhu, the sabha’s CEO.
