Vijay Yesudas met with an accident yesterday around 11.30 pm near Thuravur junction in Alappuzha in Kerala. His car rammed into another car that was coming from the east direction, it is said. Vijay along with his friend was returning to Kochi from Thiruvananthapuram when the accident took place and Vijay was driving the car. Though the front portions of both the cars were damaged, the passengers were unhurt.
It is reported that Vijay did not suffer any injuries and he is hale and healthy.
Vijay, son of veteran singer KJ Yesudas, recently had completed 20 years as a playback singer in Malayalam. But h recently announced that he would not be singing in Malayalam films as there is no respect for singers and musicians. He had also announced that he would focus on acting along with singing in Tamil and Telugu. He had revealed some business plans too in an interview. Mentioning that he entered films quite late as he focussed on music as per his dad's advice, he added that he does not regret the same. The singer had courted controversy recently for his remarks on God and religion.
Vijay debuted as an actor with Avan in Malayalam in 2010. Later, he acted in Tamil along with
Dhanush in Maari as a corrupt cop. His last release was Padaiveeran and he is part of Salmon 3D, a multilingual. He is also part of an upcoming film with Vijay.
