Uttama Villain's unique audio launch

Kamal Haasan chose to launch the audio of his next film, Uttama Villain, in a fashion never before tried out. At a grand event organised at the Chennai Trade Centre in the city, the star, at the time of launching the audio, chose to upload the songs onto an app in the presence of the audience instead of unveiling the disc as is customary. After which, he said, ���The music of Uttama Villain has now been released to the world.���
When producer Lingusamy, who believes in conventional methods, insisted that there must be someone to receive the first piece of the album, Kamal made a call to his daughter Shruti in Mumbai.
Unaware that her dad was making that call in the presence of scores of viewers, Shruti, who was heading out to dinner, said, ���Is it not your audio launch today? Is the function over?��� Kamal replied, ���Shruti, I am at the function. I have to release the audio and you have to receive it.��� Shruti, who was a little annoyed, said that she had told him that it wouldn���t be possible as she was shooting in Mumbai. Kamal said they could overcome that problem using technology and asked her to download the file.
Shruti, still a little baffled, asked, ���Did you mail it to me?��� and Kamal said he had sent it is as a file. Once she said, ���Yes, got it,��� the audience cheered loudly.
The actress, still unaware that this conversation was being watched by scores of viewers, then began talking about a ���weird guy whom she had come across��� when Kamal interrupted her and disclosed that she was on a giant screen. An embarrassed Shruti then told her dad, ���You could have told me!��� She then greeted the audience and quickly cut the call.
