Santhosh sings Ketta Varthai song

For the first time, music director Santhosh Narayanan has sung a song for another composer. He has sung the Ketta Varthai song for Kappal, which has music by Natarajan Shankaran. The film stars Vaibhav and Sonam in the lead and is directed by Shankar���s assistant Karthik G Krish.
Talking about the song, the film���s producer Sudhan says, ���There is a novel fight sequence in the film, and it has a lot of computer graphics.We wanted a song that will not be like a regular film song to play during this sequence. Music director Natarajan Shankaran came up with a tune and suggested that Santhosh Narayanan���s voice will be perfect for it as it is in the same genre as the songs of Jigarthanda ��� westernized folk.���
When the team approached Santhosh, Sudhan reveals that the composer first insisted on listening to the tune and the lyrics. Director Karthik, he says, took two to three weeks to write the lyrics as the song. ���The song starts with the line Kaali Pasangada. It is all about cuss words and we wanted to make sure we do not offend anyone with the lyrics. We recorded the song a month ago in Santhosh���s studio and he finished it in three hours,��� he adds.
