. “I’ve done a few cover songs on my YouTube channel, so I wanted to come out with a music video. I decided to collaborate with

, who is very good with the hook step. He is also the video’s creative director, and since I’m a beginner, he made sure I was very comfortable. We share screen space for a few seconds in the video,” starts off Naksha, who has trained in Western vocals at AR Rahman’s music conservatory.

, a Kannada music director, through mutual friends, and he came up with the song and lyrics. “The idea was to make a colourful, peppy music video with content that is something useful... something our generation can talk to the viewer,” she states. She describes the single as a song that is about a girl talking about her feelings. “But it is not a female-oriented one. Instead, the song is about a youngster talking about their mindset. We have new-gen slangs. The entire project was a “four-month-long journey”, she adds.

Interestingly, Naksha reveals that her long-term plan, however, is acting. “Acting is my main passion; I see singing as a hobby,” remarks the youngster.
