Saasha Tripathi wins National Award for 'Kaatru Veliyidai'

A popular playback singer Saasha Tripathi won the Best Playback Singer Award in 65th National Film Awards 2018. She was conferred with the award for her grand love ballad ‘Vaan’ from Kaatru Veliyidai composed by our beloved AR Rahman.
Her song ‘Vaan’ was launched on Valentine’s day last year and has won many hearts. In 2017, speaking to us, Saasha had said, “We recorded the song about a month ago.It’s a passionate romantic song and I was told to sing it with a lot of intensity and longing.” She added, “Mani Sir has shot this song in a divine manner with a lot of romance.”
A masterpiece, ‘Vaan’ proved Rahman’s versatility who has begun the track with melody and added some energy with the chorus along with varied range of instruments. Backed by extremely superior mixing and mastering, the song is a feast for the authentic music lovers.
