'Ponniyin Selvan 1': Lyrical video of 'Ratchasa Maamaney' out now!

The lyrical video of the song ‘Ratchasa Maamaney’ from ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ is now out. Sung by Shreya Goshal, Paakkad Sreeram and Mahesh Vinayakam, the song was loved by many and it is the third single video after ‘Ponni Nadhi’ and ‘Chola Chola’ that the makers have released.The song features Karthi who plays the role of Vanthiyathevan as the disguised Kamsan trying to escape from the eyes of the soldiers. The scenes from the song reveal how Vandhiyathevan is on a mission to meet Kundhavai played by Trisha to pass the message from Aaditha Karikalan played by Vikram. The video of the song has Karthi dancing for the beats along with Sobhita Dhulipala.The music for the movie is composed by AR Rahman and the song lyrics were written by Kabilan. The lyric video of the song has been released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada and this is the first song that has been released in all 5 languages by the movie makers.Directed by Mani Ratnam, ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is a historic epic drama and the film is adapted from the novel. The movie stars Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles, whereas Srathkumar, Parthiban, Prkash Raj, Nasser, Jayaram, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Sobhita Dhulipala play in supporting roles. The film is set to release in theatres on September 30.
