The starting of Kaalin Keezhey reminds one of Aasai Oru Pulveli, perhaps because of the arrangement. But soon, once Krishnan takes over the vocals, theres a breezy feel to the proceedings. The Edodo phrase is hummable and touches a chord instantly. Young Aajeedh and Shruti get a catchy tune with Thikki Thenarudhu and do a good job.

Certainly, young talents that music composers ought to watch out for and use more in the future. Oru Padi Mela, which is sung by a host of numbers, is a typical slow gaana with foot-tapping beats and might appeal once seen with visuals. Songs revolving around cinema have long made the rounds in Kollywood film music and with Aaha Idhu Cinema, singer Mukesh gets another song that heaps praises on the film industry and how it appeals to the audiences.
One wishes that the beats were not so loud at some places, one can hardly hear the words. While Chinna Kuzhandai is a fast offering from Velmurugan and will surely have the front-benchers up and dancing, the album has another seniors version of Thikki Thenarudhu. Sung by Adithya and Vandana, this melody is perhaps the pick of the lot. Theres also another version of Kaalin Keezhey by Krishnan on offer.
