Music Review: Bramman

DSP seems to be slowly falling in the Harris Jayaraj mold of repeating the same set of tunes.

Chinna Ponnu gets an energetic tune and starts off things in a foot-tapping manner with Vodu Vodu. With massy lyrics by Yuga Bharathi, this one is directly aimed at the front-benchers. Karthik and Manasi get in a hummable duet with Penne Nee Illamal, which will strike a chord with melody lovers.
Yei Vaanatthile by Sooraj has a DSP-template background beat, one that he has beaten to death in films like Venghai and Singam.

The saving grace is the soothing melody and the singers rendition. If thats not enough, try listening to the last song of the album Vaada Vaada by Karthikeyan and Andrea. A tune that immediately reminds you of Pooparika Neeyum Pogadhe (Unakkum Enakkum) and background beats that actually belong to the composers Yenna Solla Pora (Venghai).
The only difference seems to be that the music director has used Andrea instead of Suchitra, his regular. En Uyirin Uyiraga by DSP and Anitha is no different reminding you of a tune from Santhosh Subramaniam. DSP seems to be slowly falling in the Harris Jayaraj mould of repeating the same set of tunes.
