Many music directors are turning actors, now

When Vijay Antony turned actor with Naan, he raised a few eyebrows. After all, it is not often that music directors decide to take up acting. However, following the Naaka Mukka hitmaker, we have had a few more composers taking up acting projects.
While GV Prakash, who has made blink-and-miss appearances in song sequences, is now playing the lead in three films, Idharkkudhaane Aasaipattai Balakumara composer Siddharth Vipin is playing the comedian in a couple of films, and Anirudh, after his cameo in Maan Karate, will be making a guest appearance in Aakko.
Ask Vijay about this trend and he says, ���You cannot restrict people to do one particular thing. It is like a marathon race ��� anyone can run. Someone getting a chance or creating a chance to prove themselves should be welcomed. If the person is talented, they will succeed. So, it is a positive thing.���
