Lyricist Muthu Vijayan passes away

Lyricist Muthu Vijayan, who had written popular songs like Megamai Vandhu Pogiren (Thulladha Manamum Thullum) and Kannukkulle Unnai Vaithen Kannama (Pennin Manathai Thottu) passed away recently. The lyricist had also worked in films like Kalvanin Kadhali and Nenjinile. He has written more than 500 songs in his career and had also worked as an assistant director.The news has come as a major shock for the film fraternity as Muthu Vijayan was only 48. We hear that the lyricist had jaundice and liver problems for the last few months. Though he was getting treatment for the same, unfortunately, he didn’t heal completely and breathed his last. The final rituals took place in Chennai.
