Actor Gautham Karthik's upcoming film is a period film, 'August 16, 1947'. The film, which is bankrolled by AR Murugadoss, is helmed by his long-time associate NS Ponkumar. While the film is currently in the post-production stage and gearing up for release soon, the makers have released the first single from the film.
The first single titled 'Kottikara Payalae' penned by NS Ponkumar and sung by Meenakshi Elayaraja & Sean Roldan in the latter's music has been released. The movie features Gautham Karthik, Revathy Sharma, Pugazh, and others.
Produced by AR Murugadoss, the period drama is touted to be a pan-India film. The film is produced by AR Murugadoss, Om Prakash Bhatt, Narsiram Choudhary and co-produced by Aditya Joshi. The film's technical team includes Selvakumar SK handling the camera and Sudharsan taking care of the editing.
