'Apdi Podu' and 'Andangkaka Kondakari' singer Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK) passes away; fans and celebs mourn the demise

Singer KK or known as Krishnakumar Kunnath passed away on May 31, 2022 in Kolkata at the age of 53. Krishnakumar Kunnath was in Kolkata for a performance at the Nazrul Mancha. After his live performance, the singer reportedly fell ill in his hotel and was declared dead when brought to a hospital.
The whole of India is mourning the demise of singer Krishnakumar Kunnath and KK’s death is a loss to the whole country.The singer even before his last breath gave a stunning and electrifying live performance and the audience present there would never forget such an event as it was the last time they heard the singer live.
KK has sung several songs that are imprinted in the hearts of many. The songs from the 90s have a special connection as KK had sung numerous of them and each and every song was a super hit. Krishnakumar has sung songs in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu. He made his debut as a playback singer in Tamil with AR Rahman.
He sang the songs 'Kalloori Saalai’ and ‘Hello Doctor’ from the film ‘Kaadhal Desam’. He has sung nearly 50 songs in Tamil, to name a few – ‘Apdi Podu’ from ‘Gilli’, ‘Strawberry Kanne’ from ‘Minsara Kanavu’, ‘Uyirin Uyire’ from ‘Kaakha Kaakha’, ‘Ninaithu Ninaithu Parthen’ from ‘7G Rainbow Colony’, ‘Kaadhal Valarthen’ from ‘Manmadahan’, ‘Andangkaka Kondakari’ from ‘Anniyan’, and so much more.
