, Sujatha, Rahul Nambiar and Ranjith as the core members — will be coming out with a song on August 15 to launch the initiative.

The song will be a reprise of one of Oscar-winner AR Rahman’s popular numbers (the team wants to keep the song a surprise, for now) and 65 singers, including seniors like SP Balasubrahmanyam, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, Mano and Chitra, have come together to sing this number.

“Our version, titled Together As One, has been sung in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi and will be released on Independence Day. The entire song was done during the lockdown from our respective homes,” says Rahul Nambiar.
