'Ponniyin Selvan 2' promotions to kickstart from April 16!

Directed by Mani Ratnam, the historic epic drama 'Ponniyin Selvan' became a blockbuster hit after its release in September 2022. Now the sequel of the movie, 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' is set to release in theatres on April 28. The film stars Vikram, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Karthi and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. While the film's trailer and audio has been launched, the movie cast will soon set for their promotional tour around India.
Speaking to ETimes, sources from the production house said that the promotion campaign will begin this weekend."The promotional tour for 'PS 1' was a huge success and it was one of the strong hold for us to take the movie all over the country in different languages. We have planned for the promotional tour for the sequel as well and it will start from April 16," the source told ETimes.
Reportedly, the promotions for the movie will take place in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin, Mumbai & Delhi. However, the official announcement regarding the promotional dates are yet to be made by the production house. As part of the promotional campaign, the entire main cast along with Mani Ratnam will be attending the promotional events in various cities.
To increase the interest of the audience, the movie makers are re-releasing the first part of the movie again in few theatres in Tamil Nadu. 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' will be re-released in theatres on April 21. 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' will be release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on April 28. The film also marks to be the first South Indian film to release in 4DX.
