‘Manohari’ – Bahubali
While SS Rajamouli’s Bahubali continues to win hearts worldwide as it enters the Rs 300 crore club, you can say that the film delivers all sorts of entertainment including, yes, an item number. The sensuous song Manohari featuring foreign hotties Nora Fatehi, Scarlett Wilson and Gabriela Bertante is quite tasteful. Prabhas also seems lost amidst these beauties as he moves to the tunes of the song. While some say that a period war drama doesn’t need an item song, the addition of this song leads on the story forward. You can see Prabhas enjoying his disguise as a middle eastern with a tiny glimpse of Rana Daggubati trying to look for something.

‘Daddy Mummy’ – Villu
Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Nayanthara-starrer Villu was an action thriller film which didn’t receive good reviews. However, what did receive good reviews were the songs of the film, especially the jumpy item song with Mumaith Khan. Mumaith, who is known as the best item girl of South cinema, was featured along with Vijay in the song Daddy Mummy where she matched up to Vijay’s energy as a dancer. Even though the movie received negative reviews, the song is still considered as one of the best item songs.

‘Sirichi Sirichi’ – Vasool Raja MBBS
Caught in controversy, Vasool Raja MBBS was a remake of Bollywood’s blockbuster film, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. The film was a simple story of a goon who lies to his parents saying that he is a doctor in the city, how his parents find out the truth and are insulted; and to avenge the insult, the goon moves on to becoming a real doctor. The movie’s song Sirichi Sirichi, which was performed by Ragasya, was one of the most sensual item songs as the lyrics ask the ill Jayasurya to enjoy the present and stop worrying about the past in the movie. This song was performed by Mumaith Khan in the Hindi version.

‘X Machi’ – Ghajini
Blockbuster hit Ghajini garnered tremendous applause and praises. However, the film’s item number, performed by Nayanthara, was quite a treat to the eyes as well. The film which was a psychological thriller directed by AR Murugadoss, was a big hit as were the songs. The song X Machi, which had Nayanthara in a sensuous black outfit in the initial scenes of the song, was an attention grabber. If not that, the tunes of the song and Nayan’s hot moves sure did the job.

‘Honey Honey’ – Ayan
Ayan earned a very good response at the box office as well as in the hearts of fans as the film hit the screens. The film’s item song Honey Honey, performed by Koena Mitra, was also well appreciated. The song had Koena in a sizzling black top and shorts, making it sensational. The film starred Suriya, Prabhu and Tamannaah in lead roles and the score was composed by Harris Jayaraj. The Bengali bombshell fired up the pub as she moved to the number Honey Honey.
