Ever since '

Megathoodham

', the single track from Nayanthara’s '

Airaa

', released, it’s become one of the hot favourites of Kollywood buff. Composed by Sundaramurthy KS and sung by Padmapriya Raghavan, the lyrics for the song have been penned by Thamarai. Interestingly, the song has a tag line – Bhavani’s Anthem.

Quiz the film’s director Sarjun about the relevance of the tag line, and he says, “The song beautifies the emotions of a character called Bhavani. Her dreams, aspirations and yearning for a heavenly life with her soulmate have been beautifully brought out in this song.”

He adds, “Padmapriya, Thamarai and Sundaramurthy have done a brilliant job. Thamarai ma’am can beautifully convey emotions through words, and she can elevate the feeling of love unconditionally through her lyrics. While composing the song, Sundaramurthy was sure that the lyrics and vocals should be clearly audible. So, he kept the instrumentals mild, and I personally believe that it’s intensified the impact. Padmapriya’s rendition has contributed so much to the song’s success.”

On working with Nayanthara, he says, “It’s her 63rd film, and I must admit, from admiring her as a fan to watch her act in person in this film – it’s been an amazing journey. She’s just been growing from strength to strength, and the audience will enjoy watching 'two-dimensional' Nayanthara in the film.”

The film, which also stars Kalaiyarasan and Yogi Babu, has cinematography by Sudarshan Srinivasan.
