Yashika Anand to Cheran: Kollywood stars who got injured in 2021

The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic has shattered the cinema industry, and several filmmakers are in distress due to the delay in the production of their films. Many Kollywood stars succumbed to COVID and the industry is still dealing with the pandemic blues. Recently several stars from Tamil cinema had met with accidents and got injured. From Yashika Anand to Cheran, take a look at the celebrities who got injured this year.

Yashika Anand met with a car accident while returning to Chennai, and she was injured heavily. Yashika Anand's friend Pavani died at the spot, while two other friends of Yashika are getting treated in a hospital. Yashika has several injuries, and she won't be able to stand or walk on her own for the next few months. She has been given intensive care and will be undergoing a couple of surgeries.

Vishal has been shooting for his upcoming film directed by Thu Pa Saravanan. The actor injured his back while shooting for an action sequence for the climax scene. But he was given a sudden treatment and asked to take a rest for a few days. This was the second time that he injured shooting for 'Vishal 31', while the first was not so serious.

Actor Jai, who insists on performing stunt sequences by himself recently got injured. Jai got injuries on his right shoulder while breaking a table and bench for an action sequence. He took a physio session immediately. After a few hours of rest, Jai got back to the sets and shot the rest.

Karthik is a fitness enthusiast and always puts effort to stay fit. Unfortunately, the 60-year-old fell during the exercise session was injured on his leg. Karthik underwent surgery as he had a fracture at the same leg earlier, however, because of getting immediate medical attention, he recovered in a week.

Cheran is currently shooting for the 'Anandham Vilaiyaadum Veedu'. Cheran suffered from a head injury when he tripped and fell during the shooting at the house, and he got eight stitches on his head. Despite the injury, Cheran shot the rest of his scenes as he didn’t want to cancel the shoot.
