In the wake of #MeToo movement gaining momentum in the country, several women have come forward to share their stories of being sexually and mentally abused. Joining the list is Bigg Boss girl
Yashika Aannand, who recently revealed that she was a victim of
casting couch.
According to the report, the actress, who was last seen in
Nota
, was auditioning for a role in a film that was being directed by a popular filmmaker. Though Yashika didn’t name the director, she told a publication, “He’s a big director, a popular director… he’s like a father figure to a prominent actor. When I’d gone to meet him, I did tests to act in his film. At that time, he told me that if I wanted to act in a good role in that film, I have to sleep with him. I refused and walked out of that place.”
She continued, “Many asked me why I didn’t file a complaint with the cops. If he’d sexually abused me directly, I’d have definitely filed a complaint with the police. But he’d asked, and even that has hurt me badly.”
