Yaaradi Nee Mohini fame Shreekumar's debut film as a lead kickstarts in Chennai

Telly's favourite actor Shreekumar, who shot to fame with shows like Anandham, Bommalattam, Naanal, Pillai Nila and the presently-running Yaaradi Nee Mohini, is all set to play the lead in Perasai. Though Shree has acted in several movies earlier, including Chinna, Bambara Kannaley and RK Nagar, this will be his debut as a hero.
A source says, "Shree's struggle in the industry is inspiring.Despite being the son of popular composer Shankar Ganesh, he never asked for favours and auditioned for all the roles he landed."
The pooja launch of Perasai happened in the city recently, with Shankar Ganesh operating the clapboard. The source adds, "The film, directed by Eesan, deals with the ill effects of alcohol. But it won't be preachy and will be an entertaining film. Debutante Deeshika will be playing Shree's pair in the film. Raja, Anu Krishna, Venpa, Power Star Srinivasan and Poovilangu Mohan are also part of the film. "
Eesan says, "Today, everyone consumes alcohol. But I'm not asking them to not drink liquor. All I'm saying is, stay within limits. We are narrating the side-effects of being inebriated and losing one's senses. Comedy, romance, family sentiments... they are all part of the script and hence, I'm sure it will be an entertaining fare for the audience."
