Working with Bala was a great learning experience

Karthick, who shot to fame through the reality show Maanada Mayilada, is happy about the way his career is shaping up. The actor, who made his debut through Naan Sivanagiren, followed it up Bala’s Paradesi. Now, he will be playing a fun role in the film titled, Ivalunga Imai Thaangamudiyala. He says, “I got my first film because of my reality show experience.For Paradesi, I went through rigorous rounds of audition. I travelled with Atharvaa throughout the film. Working with Bala sir was a great learning experience. I went in only with the intention of learning, so he didn’t seem strict to me. It is because of that film that I am able to better my acting skills. Sudha (Kongara) ma’am was working as an associate in that project. She, too, motivated and helped me a lot.”
Talking about Ivalunga Imai Thaangamudiyala, he says, “It is a travel comedy set in Goa. The film is directed by Raja Subramaniam and has Sahana as the female lead. The most fun and challenging part was the travelling bit. It was an all- new experience shooting in so many places.” So, does this film have any scope for dance? “That’s the irony. All the three films didn’t have any scope to show my dancing skills. I hope the next project will at least have a dance number,” says Karthick.
