' dropping out from the Oscars' final list has become the talk of the town. The film, which had given the Oscar hopes to millions of fans, have disappointed them with the final result. Kamal Haasan being the actor with the highest number of Academy Award submissions in Indian cinema in one of his earlier interviews had stated that Indians should raise the standards and should not go back to the Oscars.

During one of the earlier interviews, Kamal

Haasan

had stated that the Oscars is not a world standard, it's only American standard awards. While in the other media interview, the expert actor had expressed that people of other countries should wait for our (Indian) awards, and we shouldn't go back to Oscars and therefore we need to increase our standards. These statements by Haasan have gone viral as many felt the same after several Indian films were rejected in the Oscars' final list.

Kamal Haasan's 'Nayagan', 'Kuruthipunal', 'Indian', 'Thevar Magan', 'Hey Ram', 'Saagar' (Hindi film), and 'Swati Muthyam' Telugu film' were the seven films that were India's official entry to Oscars.

So far five Indians who have bagged the Academy Awards (Oscars), are Bhanu Athaiya in 1983, Satyajit Ray in 1992, Gulzar in 2008,

in 2008, Resul Pookutty in 2008.
