What’s Janani doing in a film that traverses two worlds?

Even as Janani Iyer’s busy shooting for her films as lead, she recently completed work on Yogi Babu’s

Dharmaprabhu

, in which she makes a cameo appearance. The actress finished filming her portions in Pollachi a couple of days ago.

Muthukumaran, who’s helming the film, tells us, “This is a fantasy comedy, and the story takes place in both our world and in yamalogam. What happens when Lord Yama decides to help out a couple in love? That’s the crux of the film. We approached Janani to play the daughter of a political leader, and she sweetly agreed; Azhagam Perumal plays her father. She will make a cameo appearance, and shot for her portions in Pollachi recently. Out of the 15-day schedule, she shot for 8 days there. It’s an interesting role, and kind of moves the story forward.”

The team will shoot for another week in Chennai, after which, it’s a wrap for the film.
