The makers of Vijay Sethupathi���s Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara have come out with the Prayer Song, which has been released as a single recently.
Talking about the song,music director Siddharth Vipin says.���When director Gokul narrated the situation, the entire team was kicked about it.We brainstormed and came up with this concept in which the heartbroken hero prays for little bad ��� but not harmful ��� things to happen to his ex-girlfriend. Like forgetting her ATM PIN number or her computer breaking down due to virus attack.We wanted it to be cute and not abusive.
Madhan Karky came up with various options on what all harms could befall a girl.Naresh Iyer has sung the number while Dr Narayanan came up with the opening ���prayer���, for which we used gibberish as lyrics.��� Siddharth admits that he feared that women might quickly label the song male chauvinistic. But, interestingly, he says that the response has been good so far. ���Naresh and I were scared that girls on the street might hit us,��� he laughs and adds on a serious note, ���Actually, we want girls to now respond with their version of what all they would pray should happen to their boyfriends. I plan to collaborate with the most interesting vocalist or lyricist from among the entries on my next film.���
