Directed by Ra Venkat, the upcoming Tamil film stars Kaali Venkat in the lead role. Actor Vijay Sethupathi took to his Twitter handle to officially launch the film's trailer. The film even before its release in theatres have been launched in many film festivals and has been critically acclaimed for its story.

'Kida' stars Kaali Venkat, Poo Ramu in lead roles and the technical crew of the film consists of cinematographer M Jayaprakash and music composer Theesan. The movie is said to be released in theatres for this Diwali on November 11.

The trailer of the film starts by telling the audience the perspective of religion and caste in India and explains how the festival of Diwali brings everyone together. The story of the film shows a doting grandfather wanting to gift his grandson new clothes for Diwali and how he struggles to match the high cost.
