Most recently, he directed 'Raavana Kottam', featuring actors like Shanthanu and Prabhu. However, the film faced a major failure at the box office. Amidst this situation, a recent post on his social media has created a stir.

In his post, Vikram Sugumaran shared, "Since directing Madha Yaanai Koottam, I haven’t received any other film opportunities. I thought no one would invite me. But today I realized that someone has been blocking every opportunity I had. That person is none other than the one I made as an actor. A pure traitor… he's been working as a hired hand for my enemy. After hearing this, my anger is only towards God. But anger won’t achieve anything.” Following the shocking revelation, fans have started speculating about the identity of the "hero" Vikram Sugumaran is referring to.

After 'Madha Yaanai Koottam', Vikram Sugumaran didn’t direct any films until he began working on 'Raavana Kottam' with Shanthanu. The film, released last year, also starred Kayal Anandhi and Prabhu. As the next project of the director of Madha Yaanai Koottam, Raavana Kottam had high expectations among film fans. However, it ended up being a major disappointment. Currently, he is not working on any new projects, and the talented director delivering only two films in a decade of his career is a mystery.
