‘Vishwaroopam 2’

is one of the most anticipated releases this year. While the film is gearing up for a release, the latest update has surfaced on the internet.

According to the reports, CBFC has ordered a whopping 17 cuts in ‘Vishwaroopam 2’. The jury is reportedly divided with some members recommending ‘U/A’ certificate and others wanting to give the film ‘U’. An official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.

Earlier this year, the

Tamil

and

Telugu

versions of ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ completed the censor formalities and was awarded a ‘U/A’ certificate. Notably, the first part landed in a huge controversy after its release was banned in Tamil Nadu.

Set in India, ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ stars Kamal Haasan, Pooja Kumar, Andrea, Shekhar Kapur and Rahul Bose in lead roles. Directed by Kamal Haasan himself, the sequel is said to be even racier than the first part. Unlike the 'Vishwaroopam', music composer Ghibran has been roped in for the project. Produced by

Raaj Kamal Films International

, Haasan had earlier planned to release the film in May. ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ is simultaneously releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.
