Vishnuvijay to star in the Tamil remake of 'Dia'

The Kannada film 'Dia' starring Prithvi Ambar, Dheekshith Shetty and Kushee Ravi, which released last year, went on to win the hearts of many, more so after it was released on an OTT platform. The poignant romantic drama touched the hearts of the audiences and buzz of the film's remake in other languages also came up. While there were talks about the Tamil remake, we'd told you exclusively that actor Vishnuvijay, who has been part of several films and television serials, will star in the Kollywood remake of the film.
In a recent interview with us, Vishnu says that he's looking forward to joining the team soon. He says, "This offer came because of Tamildasan sir, whom I knew since my early days in television. When I was going through a low phase, he called me to play the lead in the TV series, Sathya. So, I was kicked when this offer came by. This is a film that was loved during the lockdown time. I, too, loved this movie. Though I can’t reveal details about the film, I am really looking forward to this one. Other cast members are still being finalised."
Apart from this, he also has two other scripts in his kitty. "I also have two other scripts. This time, I am keen on making things right. Nothing will go wrong,” says the actor, who was seen in films like 'Mapla Singam', 'Ivan Yarendru Therikiratha', 'Gorilla' and 'Kalari'.
